Dr. Jordan Richards is a fellowship-trained urologic surgeon specializing in robotic and minimally invasive urologic oncology.
Dr. Richards completed his urology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, followed by advanced robotic surgery fellowship training with Dr. James R. Porter in Seattle. His clinical interests include robotic-assisted surgery for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers, with a particular focus on complex partial and radical nephrectomy as well as nerve-sparing prostatectomy techniques.
Dr. Richards is committed to combining advanced surgical technology with thoughtful, individualized patient care. He values shared decision-making and helping patients feel informed and confident throughout their treatment journey. His academic work has included research and presentations focused on robotic surgery outcomes and surgical innovation within urologic oncology.
Originally drawn to medicine through a passion for problem-solving and meaningful patient relationships, Dr. Richards brings a detail-oriented and approachable style to his practice. Outside of the operating room, he enjoys fly fishing, skiing, and traveling with his family and their dog Duke, while taking advantage of every opportunity to spend time outdoors.
